Sonja Donner's artist's book acts as a portable companion, drawing people in much like a table or meal would. It follows the artist's journey searching for a home as a physical place, a social gathering, and a state of mind through her encounters, friendships, and experiences. Donner's creations come to life when people come together to hear each other and share the collective experience of existing in the world. Within the book, a compact archive is formed using photographic musings and brief literary pieces, complete with an essay on bird-made buildings by curator Elina Suoyrjö.
