For over 50 years, Claudia Andujar has photographed and protected the Yanomami, a major indigenous group in Brazil. Her images capture the shamanic culture of the Yanomami, using unique photographic techniques to create a surreal atmosphere. The Tate Photography Series showcases world-renowned photographers, with each book featuring a selected sequence of images and conversations about their practice. The common theme of this second group of titles is Ecology and Environment. Tobias Ostrander, the Estrellita B. Brodsky Curator-At-Large of Latin American Art at Tate, curates this series.
