Kristina 18 is a photobook by Odesa-born photographer Kristina Podobed. It documents a pivotal moment—the end of a chapter in her life in Ukraine, told through intimate, unposed imagery that blends documentary and poetic sensibility. The book explores memory, absence, and the places and people that shaped her. Some locations lose meaning without those who inhabited them; some faces remain vivid long after their surroundings fade. It's a quiet farewell to a time now past, capturing the echoes that linger—feelings, moments, and absences that define who we become. Kristina's work is known for its honesty and depth. Her photographs evoke emotion and invite reflection on vulnerability, self-expression, and the human experience. Each image reveals the sincerity of a captured moment, blending intimacy with openness while maintaining naturalness and attention to detail. Dedicated to friends lost. A meditation on memory, belonging, and letting go.
