Tintype Workshop - Angela Jones

Join New York City-based photographer Angela Jones for a rare opportunity to learn the process of one of the first-ever photography formats. 

During the 8-hour workshop, Angela will walk students through the history of the medium, and demonstrate the technique of preparing a tintype, pouring collodion, properly exposing an image, then developing, fixing, and varnishing it. 

Using large format(4x5)camera, students will experiment with natural light, and everyone will walk away with some original  tintypes of their own, plus a detailed workbook that you can use to create tintypes on your own.

Photographers of all skill levels are welcome, and no photography or darkroom experience is necessary!
