Our imaginaries have been so long shaped by the male perspective that they are in dire need of alternatives! With this ambition, Gaze, the magazine of feminine gazes, was born in 2020. Through intimate stories, immersive reporting, and a ton of photography, it is entirely conceived and made by women and non-binary people, focusing on the social, intimate, and cultural issues of the feminine condition.
Gaze is a beautiful object without advertisements, between a magazine and a book, published biannually in both French and English. Far from being news that is nibbled at and then forgotten, we believe in paper if it is thought of as an object that is kept,
cherished, and will still be relevant when it is taken off the shelf two years after its publication.
In the pages of Gaze, personalities and unknowns, the young and the not-so-young, established names and beginners, all stand on equal footing. Gaze is not the journal of the feminist debate, but a sensitive and inspiring gateway into an inclusive and intersectional feminism.
